Crime Colloquium in Kankan

The University of Kankan hosted a two-day colloquium on crime.

The University of Kankan in Guinea hosted a two-day conference on February 23 and 24 on the subject of crime and criminality.  The conference was partially funded by a $2400 grant from the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Conakry.  The two days of presentations included sessions led by eleven different Guinean professionals and academics on different aspects of crime.  Open to the public, it resulted in an open and frank discussion on the challenges facing peace, security, and rule of law in Guinea.
