Educational Advising
General Information
The U.S. Embassy Educational Advising Center is located at the CELA-Donka (Centre d’Etudes de Langue Anglaise) at the University of Conakry. It is free resource center for students interested in studying in the United States.
The Education Advisor meets with students on a walk-in basis or by appointment for personalized counseling and holds weekly group counseling sessions.
The Educational Advising Center at the University of Conakry contains reference materials for undergraduate and graduate programs as well as an Internet station for research on colleges and universities in the United States.

TOEFL Exam
The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a test of English language ability given six times a year in Conakry at the Educational Advising Center at CELA in January, March, May, August, October, and November. Registration is required approximately one month in advance to secure a spot. The registration fee for the exams is $140, payable in check or credit card directly to the testing service in the United States. GRE Exam
The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is an exam required for entrance into graduate school for advanced degrees in the United States. It is offered once a year in Conakry in the fall by written exam at the Educational Advising Center at CELA. Registration is required approximately one month in advance to secure a spot. The registration fee for the exams is $110, payable in check or credit card directly to the testing service in the United States.
