Acting PAO Hosts Iftar Dinner at the University of Kankan
On August 2, U.S. Embassy Acting PAO Vallera Gibson hosted an “Iftar” dinner at the University of Kankan guest house, in Upper Guinea. Guests included 45 religious, cultural, business, and civic Embassy contacts from the Muslim community. This is the fifth Iftar dinner held in Kankan by the U.S. Mission. At the conclusion of the dinner, APAO Gibson thanked the guests and underscored the importance of diversity, respect, and acceptance of differences. She also reiterated the U.S. government’s support for the holding of transparent, free and fair Guinean legislative elections as soon as possible.
