PAS Conakry conducts Fulbright Outreach in Kankan

Conakry American Embassy Public Affairs Section organized a Fulbright outreach event at the American Corner located on the University of Kankan’s campus on August 1, 2012. More than 100 students attended the program.  The events goal is to raise qualified Guineans interest in the Fulbright program.  In his presentation, the Cultural Affairs Specialist, Serge Akhani, described the various categories under the Fulbright fellowship and provided information on the objectives, eligibility requirements and application timeline.  All of the participants received information packets with links to the Mission’s website that contains detailed information on the Fulbright application process.  The Fulbright Program offers grants to study, teach and conduct research in the United States to citizens of foreign countries.
