New Photograph Requirements

Visa photographs must be square and not less than 2X2 inches (50 mm square).  Your face must cover 50 percent of the photo and you should be looking directly at the camera.

The U.S. Embassy also wishes to remind visa applicants that photographs submitted with visa applications must be taken with a white or off-white background. Subjects should be facing the camera; glasses, hats, or head coverings are not allowed. Your ears should be showing.
