Women participationg in the electoral process

Hadja Saran Daraba Kaba shares her views with the audience (State Dept)

In a June 30th, 2012 gathering at the Ambassador’s residence, Hadja Saran Daraba Kaba, Executive Secretary of the Mano River Union, addressed a group of more than 50 men and women concerning the role of women in the electoral process.  Participants, who spanned a diverse array of ages and professions, posed questions about how women can play a more active role in the electoral process and upcoming elections in Guinea.  Hadja Kaba shared personal insight and experiences as she responded to these questions and charged the women present with the responsibility to continue their quest to become a balanced stakeholder in the electoral process.
