Consular Warden Message - U.S. Government Flight Information

U.S. Embassy Conakry
February 14, 2007

This warden message is being issued to alert American citizens of the arrival, afternoon of Thursday, February 15th of a U.S. government plane. We expect there to be 40 seats available on board the aircraft for private American citizens who wish to depart Guinea for Dakar. This is not an evacuation flight; it is an effort to augment existing commercial air service.

Seats will be offered to the below defined priority Americans on a first come, first served basis.

1. Americans not ordinarily resident in Guinea
2. Americans with pending non-emergent medical needs
3. American senior citizens

We regret the U.S. government aircraft can not accommodate passengers who are not citizens of the United States, or unaccompanied U.S. citizens younger than 16. The fee for this service has not yet been determined, and must be secured by promissory note issued by a U.S. consular officer before travel. All travelers must possess valid U.S. passports.

All private American citizens wishing to travel must contact consular officers Yolonda Kerney or Eric Turner in order to secure a place on the aircraft's manifest. The U.S. Mission will not provide transportation to the airport. Do not travel to the airport unless you receive the consular officer's confirmation of your place on the aircraft. The consular officers may be reached at:
